TEASER POSTERS
Concept/Design

3 teaser posters were developed.

Layouts share the 60's period of the film, and a strong focus on typography. With parameters set, each design draws from a separate concept as it's base.

Design 1
Influenced by computer imagery of the era. Think: programmed data processor spreadsheet with a modern twist. Design represents a cross section of students gathering at Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youth. They unite, in-turn becoming the aforementioned, "first class," the X-men.

Design 2
Literal take on the "school" concept. Referencing the look of math and science textbooks of the early sixties. Strong juxtaposed type, white shards cut in angrily at each other. Opposing forces, an overarching theme of film, visualized.

Design 3
Stylish period costuming gives the film a strong visual flair. With this in mind, early sixties fashion magazines became the basis for the third layout. Charles sits, a finger raised to his temple, contemplating his next move. His gaze draws you in, artfully placed lines and elegant typography send the eye down and across.
